As promised earlier today (read my Made it Monday post), I'm back here sharing my latest tote bag: a cork and fabric roses bag - made with this amazing fabric and with cork fabric at the bottom too.
Earlier this year I sold two tote bags in my Etsy shop made with this fabric. At the time, I ran out of fabric but kept my eyes open to see if I could get more. And finally, my attention paid off and I managed to buy one additional piece. It wasn't too big, but I still have some leftover after this bag, which means I will have to think about somewhere else to use it.
I love the color combination of the blue and the pinks, with a bit of green in between.
And this new version with the cork fabric at the bottom looks even better, in my opinion.
In case you want to have a look, I've posted a small tutorial with tips on how to sew these bags with cork fabric here.
The bag is lined with a pink polkadots fabric and has a large pocket inside - because I like all my bags to have a pocket for the keys, cell phone, etc.
It took me a while to complete this bag, but I'm in love with the result!
You made a gorgeous looking tote bag!
ReplyDeleteI love your bag, love the fabric - and I wish I was as clever as you at making something like that.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I thought it would be much harder to use it than it really is. You should give it a try sometime. Thank you for stopping by!
DeleteI saw cork fabric in the store several months ago. What a great way to use it! Thank you for sharing at Party In Your PJ's.
