Hotfoil DIY notebooks

Hello, and welcome. Today I'm going to show you how to make notebooks. Personally I always carry a notebook in my purse to jot down reminders, ideas and anything else that comes to mind.

These notebooks are perfect for just that. You can make them any size you want and when you finish one - just make another.

I bought this hotfoil scrapbook paper a long time ago. Initially I planned to use it to make Christmas cards, but then somehow the paper was buried under a pile of other stuff in my crafts closet (which tends to happen a lot). Recently I rediscovered it, and because I'm destashing I decided to start using at least a part of it.

I folded one sheet of the scrapbook paper in half and then cut regular copy paper to the same size (each sheet also folded in half).

If you have a stapler capable of stapling though this length of paper, you can just staple the cover and the sheets together. Because my stapler didn't reach that far, I used my sewing machine instead.
To sew the notebooks you should secure all the pages to the cover with paper clips (to make sure they don't end up misaligned).

Then just sew down the crease in the cover:

And there you have it: one cute notebook make in next to nothing:

You can also make these notebooks to give as gifts, pairing them with a pretty pen or pencil. And instead of using store bought scrapbook paper you can just print your own custom covers and go from there. Endless possibilities!
