Homemade jam labels - free printable

The end of summer is the time of the year when our family focuses on making jams and fruit preserves to last us the winter. When I say family, I'm including the extended family since I usually only make pear jam or apple & pear jam. We do get offers of of jams and preserves made from other fruits but they are either eaten by my husband (the kids aren't into them, at least yet) or I pass them along to my mother.

But when I posted the apple & pear jam recipe earlier this week I looked at the photos and I noticed there was one thing missing in those jam jars: labels.

So, of course I decided to make some cute jam labels.

And even though I only need apple & pear labels right now, why stop there, really? I thought of all the fruits our family is usually into and made labels for those too, although mostly I will be printing them and passing them along.

Here are the tags, starting, obviously, with the apple & pear ones. Clicking on the images will take you directly to each printable pdf file.

Apple & Pear
(my favorite)

Apple
(OK as a stand alone, though I prefer the first one)

Pear
(ditto)

Strawberry
(my son's favorite)

Fig
(my mother in law has a huge fig tree and makes a lot of fig jam)

Pumpkin
(we've had it in the past, but not very often)

Cherry
(my husband's favorite)

Peach
(again, something my mother in law makes a lot)

My advice would be to print the labels directly onto sticker paper, but if you don't have it with you, just print on regular paper and glue them onto the jars once the jam inside has cooled off.

Oh, and I have recipes for all these jams, even if I usually don't make them. If you want a specific recipe, other than the apple & pear jam, just drop me a line and I'll be happy to share it.

Have a wonderful weekend,

    1. Hum...strawberry fig jam never occurred to me. I have individual recipes for both, but never thought of a combination of the two. I'll try it out for sure next year (fig season is over around here...)
