Well, we are already in the first week of February, which means that almost 10% of the year has gone by. Have I cleaned 10% of the clutter in my house? I don't think so, but then, I haven't exactly measured the amount of clutter I want to get rid of. I just know that I want my house cleaner and leaner at the end of the next 11 months.
Other than getting rid of the paper books, I have been slowing going though the closets and I'm proud to say that even if they are not emptier, there is now room there to house things that have been living on top of other furniture for a long time.
Goals for next weekend: my daughter's closet and our home office desk, which is so cluttered no one can work there anyway.
What about you? Are you also on a decluttering journey? Share your goals and let's keep eachother motivated!
It took over six months, but I finally got the majority of excess books cleaned out and OUT of the house for good. I have two small stacks left to go.

Yes, I'd noticed it was going to take a while to find new houses for all the books I need to get rid of. I have several huge stacks on the floor of my home office because since I selected them to go, I don't want to put them in the shelves again...Thank you for stopping by and for your support!
DeleteI'm attempting huge declutter. My house is a tip! Every time I get rid of a bag of junk it seems like another 4 bagfuls find their way in. I've finished the bathroom though, there were unbelievable amounts of junk in there, so at least one room in my house is clean and tidy!
ReplyDeleteThat's how it goes, one room at a time! I've given up on the idea that the house is going to be magically decluttered by the end of the week. It's going to take a lot of work and a lot of time, so I'm setting small goals each week and trying to stick with them.
DeleteThank you for stopping by and letting me know I'm not alone in this journey!
