Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here a quick project: knit washcloths (or kitchen cloths, whichever you prefer) made with just one skein of yarn and a basic purl stitch:
For this I advise you to use a 100% cotton yarn. I used a few variegated yarn skeins I had in my stash (bought a while ago just because I loved the color combinations), and a 3.5 mm circular knitting needle.
The pattern is very easy: cast on 50 stitches and from then onwards just work each row with a purl stitch until the almost the end of the skein (leave enough yarn to cast off). Cast off the 50 stitches and weave in the ends.
The purl stitch adds a bit of texture to the cloths and since it's such a basic stitch, you can finish these in no time at all.
And, of course, you can also do this using scraps of yarn instead of whole skeins...
Have fun, and happy Wednesday,
