The Flower Power Tote Bag

Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here a tote bag I made and decorated with colorful felt flowers:

The Flower Power Tote Bag

The tutorial for the tote bag can be found here: 20-minutes lined tote bag tutorial. In this particular case I used store bought cotton webbing (that I already had in my stash) for the handles and added an inside pocket:

After sewing the bag, I added the felt flowers. I glued them in place first but then stitched all around each of the three flower layers, to make sure none of them would fall off while the bag is in use.

These were all felt flowers I had around from the days I used to sell them at my Etsy shop. I used a few for a zipper pouch a while ago, but I still had a lot of them so this tote bag was the perfect project to use them up. Each side of the bag follows a similar pattern, but no two flowers are exactly the same:

And since I didn't have to buy a single piece of material to create this bag, it was just the perfect detashing project!

Have fun, and happy Tuesday!

    1. Thank you! This was a total one-off. I used to sell tote bags at my Etsy shop a while ago, but international shipping is chaos these days (I'm in Portugal) so now my Etsy is 100% digital items...
