I posted last week about how I'm trying to go green this Christmas? Well, one of the things I put on my list was reusing and upcycling gift packages. And needed just the right package for the baby bibs I made a while ago for our baby cousin (see my towel backed baby bib tutorial if you want to make some too).
I reuse a lot of packages but I didn't have anything I could use for a baby boy. But I wasn't about to buy a new package or wrapping paper either.
So I looked around at home and found this box:
It was kind of ugly and the inside was stained with I suppose must have been glue at one point. It was just the right size and I love a challenge, so I set out to make it prettier.
I used some leftover self-adhesive fabric to cover the inside of the box:
And used the rest of the fabric to cut stars to embellish the exterior of the box:I reuse a lot of packages but I didn't have anything I could use for a baby boy. But I wasn't about to buy a new package or wrapping paper either.

Then I just needed to place the baby bibs inside (wrapped in tissue paper) , put the lid back on and tie a matching ribbon around it:
Happy Wednesday, and happy holidays!
Great idea! I know I never have the right box or bag for the occasion I need it for!
