Red hearts notebook cover and pencil case set

Hum, yes...I created another of these sets. I seem to be making them every week this year, I certainly need to plan something completely different for next year.

This one was for my daughter's 3rd grade teacher. 

The notebook was made with fabric (although I usually find it easier to make these covers with felt), the difference is that I wanted it to be wallet sized.

The zippered pouch/pencil case was made in accordance with my  DIY simple zippered pouch tutorial. 

Because I had some fabric left from the lining of both the pouch and the notebook cover, I decided to add the red hearts to each of the pieces (sewn around the edges with a blanket stitch) and I think in the end they turned out great.
