Knit Fall Scarf

I'm really proud of myself because today I finished knitting my new fall scarf.

Knit Fall Scarf

There's absolutely nothing complicated about it, it's a simple design I developed as I knitted along (so, no pattern) but just the fact that I finished it before I actually need it is amazing just by itself.

At the beginning of summer I found this yarn on sale at the craft store and I fell in love with it. It's from Rosas Crafts, though I can't find it online anymore, so I have no idea if they are still selling it.

I thought it had the perfect colours for a fall scarf. It took me a while to decide how I wanted it knit. In the end I decided to have an opening in the knitting to pull one of the ends of the scarf through it and keep it closer to the neck without having to tie a knot or roll it around the neck.

Here's how it looks when I wear it (sorry about the quality, it wasn't easy to get a photo of myself this way):

I'm loving it! I love the colours, the swirling pattern of the yarn after knitting and the fact that it's warm but not too much, which makes it perfect for this coming season.

Even though I'm not ready for summer to end, I'm also looking forward to wearing my new fall scarf.

How about you? Ready for fall?

  1. Hello Teresa, oh I love this pretty scarf you knitted! I will have to look for a knit pattern to make one similar to yours. Thanks for sharing at C&C with J&J!

    1. Thank you! I really didn't follow a pattern, but it's not that difficult to make. The hardest thing was to calculate where to make the opening to get the two halves to fall symmetrically when one is passed through the other. That took some calculating and some testing.
