(Almost) Wordless Wedneady - Egypt anyone?

A couple of weeks ago we went to an exhibition about the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb by Howard Carter in 1922. History addict that I am, I just couldn't miss it and I'm very glad my kids enjoyed it too.

I was an unique collection of objects that are often scattered in museums around the world, and included a visual description of the way the several chambers of the tomb looked like when they were discovered:

And finally I could see Tutankhamun's mask. Years ago when I visited the Louvre I missed a similar exhibition for a matter of days, so it was good to have it in front of me at last:

  1. How lucky you were visiting that exhibition, dear Teresa! I'm particularly fond of ancient Egypt too, have plenty of books about it and even made some cross-stitch works with ancient Egyptian motifs.
