Easy Crunchy Baked Asparagus

These crunchy baked asparagus are delicious, easy to prepare and make a healthy side dish.

Easy Crunchy Baked Asparagus recipe

  • Asparagus (I usually bake about 9-10 asparagus, but it's very easy to adjust amounts if you want to make more, or less)
  • 1 egg
  • olive oil
  • about 100 grams of bread crumbs
  • two teaspoons of garlic powder
  • one teaspoon of fine herbs
  • salt to taste 
  • olive oil

  • Whisk the egg onto a bowl. In a second bowl, mix the bread crumbs, the garlic powder and the fine herbs

  • Wash the asparagus and remove the edge of the stems, closer to the root. Run each individual asparagus through the egg, and them through the bread crumb mix
  • Place in an oven tray, add the salt and sprinkle with olive oil

  • Bake for about 20 minutes or until the bread crumbs have turned a nice golden color.

Serve while it's still warm, for extra crunchiness.
