On one of
the last days of our summer break I decided to show the my kids (and my husband too, since he'd never been there before) the village of Monsaraz.
Monsaraz is one of my favorite places in the Portuguese region of Alentejo. It's lays at the top of a very steep hill and is totally contained inside the old castle walls, so you are truly walking through a medieval village that remained virtually unchanged for something like 800 years.
