Just like last month, I accepted Joanita's challenge for another mystery crochet along in June, again using just scraps of yarn.
So, this month we are creating a mystery blanket and I'm proud to say that I finished part one just one day late. This time I had to raid my mother's scraps of yarn too, to have enough alternate colours in softer yarns (since it's going to be a blanket). My mother knits a lot and always has an abundance of scraps around, so she was glad to pass me a bag full of little balls of yarn.
Although I used a 3.5 hook for the entire work, some of the yarns are thicker than others, and a few were used doubled. Which means that the squares turned out slightly wonky in places, but I'm sure that once assembled they will be OK.
Here are the big squares...
... then the small squares...
...and the whole set (for now):
If you want to crochet along too, check out part one of the instructions here. Juanita published part two just yesterday and I'm already working on it, so I hope to finish it during the weekend.
Enjoy,
I love your blocks Teresa!! Glad you joined in on this CAL too :)
