5 minute upcycle: empty can to pencil holder...

...using self adhesive paper and washi tape.

So, today I bring you a really quick project that everyone can make. All you need is an empty can, self adhesive paper (or regular wrapping paper & glue) and washi tape (or some ribbon & fabric glue, if you don't have washi tape around).

Start with any can you don't need any more. The one I used was an empty tea can that would have been sent to the recycling bin otherwise.

Measure around the can and cut a piece of self adhesive paper big enough to cover the entire can. Glue it in place.

Then cut two pieces of washi tape, also long enough to go all around the can, and glue one on top...

...and the other at the bottom:

Now fill it with pencils and enjoy!

Have a great week!

    1. The self adhesive paper makes all the difference. I have tried it before with regular paper and glue and I've never gotten such a neat finish. Thank you for stopping by!
