DIY Felt Snap Pouch

Sometimes in life getting through the process is more important than the end result, and this particular pouch is proof of that.

DIY Felt Snap Pouch

Here's the backstory: I started sewing this pouch back when I was still selling physical items, but then it sat unfinished in a pile of other unfinished projects. Until now.

And since this year I'm really trying to avoid buying additional craft supplies and use up all the stuff I already have around, I felt finally finishing this long lost pouch was just the right thing to do.

Seriously, it took me about five minutes to sew the one unfinished side and add the snaps to keep the pouch closed. If you want a tutorial for these pouches, you can check my previous post HERE. The only different is that this one is hand sewn using a blanket stitch.

Then I noticed there was a darker stain on the felt, so instead of trying to remove it and ruin the felt in the process, I glued a small bow and a little golden faux crystal over it.

Overall, it was a very quick process, which just shows that procrastination is definitely not a good thing. I'm not sure what I'll be using the pouch for yet, but I do love this particular felt with the golden swirls, so if nothing else comes up it can always double as a reusable gift bag.

Now I just need to tackle a few more of these unfinished projects and work a bit harder towards my destashing goals.
