DIY hygienic pads - with upcycled terry cloth

Hello, and welcome! During the summer I shared a tutorial and pattern on how to make your own reusable hygienic pads and at the time I said I wanted to test different ways to line them.

Recently I decided to try terry cloth as liner - and what better way to do it than to add a bit of upcycling to the project too?

While going through our linens closet I came across an old hand towel. The terry cloth in itself was still in great shape, but the edges of the towel were fraying a bit, so it was perfect for this experience.

The pads lined with terry cloth work wonderfully, just like the others, and are even more absorbent. Pattern is the same and you can find it here.

Even though they are slightly bulkier that the first ones I made, they are still very comfortable and fold perfectly, as you can see below:

The only downside is that they also take a bit longer to dry after washing, but overall I'm happy with the results. Next I want to try bamboo liners, but I still need to buy the materials. I'll let you know then how it goes.
