Hello, and welcome! As hinted earlier today, I have decided to celebrate Christmas in July with a set of holidays gift tags.
And what a celebration! Why? Because these were probably the most difficult gift tags I have ever made.
I bought the Sizzix dies any the beginning of the year and then (for a change) never used them until now. I knew they were small, but I never thought each of the images would be so difficult to complete.
Once I started cutting I realised some of the pieces were so small that even using tweezers it was difficult to get them glued in place. Several times when I was working I even lost some of the pieces and had to cut new ones.
I used recycled card stock for the gift tags and then a zillion of almost microscopic bits of coloured card stock for the rest.
While I love the results, I'm pretty sure I'm not repeating any of these tags soon. They required way more work (and patience) than I expected. It took me over a week to finish them and I much prefer quicker projects.
In any case, merry Christmas in July and happy Monday
