Upcycled: gift tags from an empty box of chocolates

Hello, and welcome! Trying to keep up with my goal for 2026 (being frugal), today I'm sharing here a set of lovely gift tags I made using a box of chocolates leftover from Christmas:

Upcycled: gift tags from an empty box of chocolates

Step one: eat the chocolates (☺) but don't throw away the package:

Creatively cut the prettiest parts of the package and glue them over some lightweight cardboard:

And finally, cut the gift tags to shape using scissors, a guillotine or tag shaped dies (I used one of my favorite Sizzix dies):

The result: a pretty set of (inexpensive) gift tags, and less waste to put into the recycling bin.

I've been making more gift tags (and even bookmarks) out of other packages leftover from Christmas and I hope to share them here soon too.

Have fun and Happy Thursday,
