Refashioned zipper pouch with felt flowers

Sometimes we receive gifts that we know you will be using for the rest of your life. But sometimes we receive gifts that are cute at the time but then lose a bit of their shine. This was the case of the zipper pouch I'm showing you today.

It's a simple white pouch with a black zipper, and a quote written in black letters on one of the sides. I'm not sharing the quote here, but let's just say that at the time I received it, it made total sense. Once I wanted to use the pouch on a daily basis, part of the fun was partly lost and I knew I would either need to cover it or toss the pouch altogether. So...I decided to cover it.

I debated several alternatives but ended up deciding to use felt flowers. I have all these felt flowers leftover from when I used to sell them at my Etsy shop, and they were just perfect for this.

After trying to mix and match colors, I decided to go with just the flowers in shades of green. So I glued a bunch of them over the quote:

Below you can find my favorite glue for this kind of projects:

And then, because I still had some green flowers left, I also glued a few on the other side of the pouch, to make the decoration look a bit more intentional a a bit less like just a cover up.

And that was it! Now I have a "brand new" colorful zipper pouch to use. And if I ever get tired of the color, I can always swap the flowers for something else...

Have fun, and happy Tuesday!
