The Forest Blanket

Hello, and welcome! I had little time this weekend to plan today's post, so I'm just sharing here a quick peek at one of my latest crochet projects - one that helped me get rid of a whole bag of yarn scraps.

The Forest Blanket - using up yarn scraps

I named it the Forest Blanket since it's entirely made of greens and browns...
I didn't exactly create a pattern for this blanket. I just alternated rows of brown and green yarn (and you'll notice there are different tones and types or yarn mixed in).

The brown rows are made of simple double crochet stitches, while the green rows are crossed double crochets. Overall it creates a nice textured look.

The blanket isn't very large and not all that pretty either, but is just perfect to have in my lap while watching TV or working from home, and since I finished it pretty quickly (and have one less bag of scraps in my closet), I'm pretty happy with the result!
