Cross stitched wooden Christmas tree ornament - with free pattern

Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing with you a pretty Christmas tree cross stitched on a wooden circle, to be used as an ornament or as a gift tag.

Find out how to make it below.

Materials:
  • one wooden cross stitch circular frame
  • the cross stitch chart - download it here
  • embroidery floss in brown and two shades of green (DMC color codes included in the chart for reference)
  • one small yellow star shaped button (optional)
  • a small piece of yarn or ribbon for hanging

All you need to do is to download the pattern and follow the instructions to cross stitch the tree onto the wooden frame.

Once finished, sew or glue on the button...

It's a small and quick project - my favorite kind! And now I'm already planning other small holidays designs, as I want to make a set of these to use as original gift tags this Christmas.

  2. This is brilliant. I bought a pack of little discs like this a few months ago to make a pumpkin keyring and have 3 left in the pack. Now I know what I can do with them! Thanks
