My Etsy shop...one year later

Ok, so not exactly one year, more like one year and a couple of weeks. I opened my Etsy shop in January 2019 but to be honest I don't even remember the exact day.

When I opened I seriously didn't know what to expect - I had no idea how to write titles and use keywords to be found in searches, I had very few listings and little time to build inventory and I was not used to promoting anything on social media.

It was a huge learning curve for me. Proof of that is that my first sale took almost two months to happen and even afterwards sales were few and far in between. At that point I told myself that if I didn't make it to 20 sales by the one-year mark I would close shop. Not because I didn't love it, but because I could probably make a better use of my time and efforts elsewhere.

Well, what do you know? I'm one year and a couple of weeks in and I'm up to 43 sales. Not a lot, I know, but I'm still proud of that number. And in there are two sales which were practically bulk orders, so I'm way up 43 if you count actual items sold.

Taking into account that everything is handmade by yours truly and that, despite all these modest achievements, I still have very little available time for crafting - yes, I'm really, really happy about it.

Is there room for improvement? Of course. There always is. There are lots of new items I want to make and add to the shop, but it takes more time than I have, so for no I'm focused on trying to just add at least one or two new listings every week.

Want to take a look at my shop? You are welcome to browse around, and if you have any suggestions for improvement, I'm all ears.
