I made it to Monday...again

Yes, I made it to Monday...like I had a choice anyway LOL.

I made it to Monday

On Saturday we visited my in-laws and, on the way there stopped by my grandfather's house. My grandfather passed away in 2001 and the house now belongs to my mother - but he was born in this very house in 1904, so it will always be his.

There's a huge tangerine tree in the backyard, so of course we went tangerine picking.

You can't really see it well because of the foliage, but my husband had climbed halfway up the tree at this point trying to reach the top branches (because of course it's so much more fun than using a ladder).  My son was on the ground (and probably wishing I would let him climb the tree as well).

 Here's part of out loot:

Sunday was a quiet day for us, so I managed to get some crafting done.

I upcycled a headband for my daughter. She wanted a spring headband and this is what I came up with (more details on this later):

Then I finished sewing a new spring bag to replace the one that sold out at my Etsy shop. The measurements are slightly different - because I really dislike to make two things exactly the same - but the fabric is the same - and I love it!

Then I followed suit with this other bag - I was on a roll here (to be listed later, still have to take the rest of the photos).

Same with this dog print purse - isn't this fabric the cutest thing ever? (Ok, at this point you've probably realized I have a "thing" with fabric) - also to be listed later...

Have an wonderful week and don't forget to check out the other awesome Made it to Monday posts:

  1. That floral print is gorgeous! I bought myself a bag sewing pattern on sale a couple weeks ago. Hoping to be able to squeeze it in soon.
