The owl cake

As promised, after the fox cake I shared last week, here is the owl cake I made for my son's birthday party with his school buddies.

As usual, the idea came from Pinterest, I but planed and cut all the pieces of fondant myself (in different shades green, because that's my son's favorite color...). And just like with the fox I also had to make the owl's ears the day before to be sure they hardened enough to stay in place. They are made with two layers of fondant and a wooden stick in between.
