Christmas in July: upcycled Christmas gift package

Hello, and welcome. Even though we are already halfway through July, there is still time for a Christmas in July post. Actually, between work, family events and my Etsy shop, I've had very little time for crafting, but I really wanted to upcycle this package  into a Christmas gift package, so I got up early on Sunday to get it done.

The package doesn't look much when laying flat, but it is made of pretty sturdy cardboard and has a flat bottom when you unfold it. It's the perfect package for fragile items or gifts that bend easily and you want to make sure they stay in the correct position or keep their shape.

This package came to the office with documents inside and I saved it from ending up in the trash can. Obviously, there was a logo on it (the shaded area in the photos) and I had to find a way to cover it.

As I knew I wanted to make it a Christmas package, I want online and printed the music score for a Christmas carol, cut it to shape with pinking shears for added effect and glued it over the logo.

Then I used my Sizzix to cut some foliage and stars out of glitter Eva foam, glued everything in place, and I was done!

One Christmas package all ready for gifts to be put inside. Of course now I have to make said gifts, but one thing at a time, right?

Happy Monday!
