Explosion Box Designs

After reading the title, you might be asking - what exactly is an explosion box? I had the same question when I was approached by Shari’s Berries about these printables. But don't worry, it's not as scary as the name might sound.

These explosion boxes are lovely folded paper boxes that include pages with personalized details, such as photos, thoughtful notes, or unique decorations.

DIY dry erase to-do lists

If you're like me, you always have a long list of things to do every day. And while I have a good memory, I always find it easier to create a list every night with what needs to be done the following day.

Mostly I use notebooks for this, but lately I found myself sticking lots of reminders on our kitchen wall, next to the calendar and the kid's school schedules. I was clearly in need of a more efficient alternative - and so I created a dry erase to-do list.

10 Free and Simple Slow Cooker Recipes

When school starts up and schedules become fuller, it can be difficult to get a home cooked meal on the table during weeknights. That’s why slow cookers can be a lifesaver when it comes to feeding hungry mouths.

My friends at YourBestDigs recently created 5-ingredient slow cooker recipe cards that make dinners so much easier. Simply add the 5 ingredients to your slow cooker in the morning, and you have a meal at night!

Back to School Printable Name Tags

If you've been visiting for a while you already know that almost every year I design new printable name tags for my kids to use on they school books, notebooks and other school materials.

As my kids grow, the designs grow too and this time my son told me he didn't want his name tags with little kids images anymore - yes, because eleven is sooooo old... This is what I came up with:

Travel ID tags for kids - free printable

The first time I had to travel abroad with my kids, I admit I was a bit stressed. English is not their first language, and while they do have some basic knowledge, they are by no means proficient. To add to that, English wasn't the first language of the country we were traveling to, which could be and additional difficulty. And finally, I would have to spend at least two days alone with both kids in a strange town. Compounded stress.

My main concern was what would happen if they got lost in a crowd or if for any reason we were separated. Looking back at it now, maybe I was exaggerating, but at the time it seemed vitally important that they could have some sort of ID on them, with their parents phone numbers clearly stated.

12 Free Vintage Label Printables

When you’ve got a big family to feed or if you're just a fan of home cooked meals (home made is always best, in my opinion), you have to stay stocked up on cooking ingredients. But keeping everything organized in your pantry and fridge can be quite a chore.

12 Free Vintage Label Printables

So, you most likely have a whole bunch of food storage containers full of rice, flour, sugar, and other ingredients. All of these containers can start to get confusing if they’re not labeled. Have you ever used your baking soda instead of the corn starch? I know I have! Or have you spent a lot of time looking for that brown sugar package you know you bought on your last trip to the grocery store and now can't find anywhere? Yep, I've been there too...

If you’re a fan of staying organized and decluttering your kitchen, you need to check out these awesome vintage food label printables from Kitchen Cabinet Kings.

There are twelve different labels to choose from. Below are just a few of my favorites. Oh, and they also have a blank label so that you can properly label anything you like!

I love the black and white look of these labels. It's clean and elegant and will look good on any kitchen counter or pantry.

If you want these labels too, head over to the original post and download them and print them out on your home printer. Then glue or tape them on their appropriate containers. Laminate the top if you want to make them more durable or if you really want them to turn out nice, print them on sticker paper (either at home or at your local print store).

Have fun with your new vintage food label printables and happy Thursday!

Let's Flamingle summer printable decor

Inspiration of this printable came from a birthday party me daughter attended a couple of months ago. There were flamingos everywhere and somehow it looked very summer-ish - even if that the time were were still in early spring. So I decided that as soon as summer started I would want a flamingo sign in our house, especially because summer is the birthday party season in our family!.

Hello Summer! with free ice cream cone wrappers

If you're in the northern hemisphere, summer starts today!

And is there a better way to kick off summer than with an ice cream cone three scoops high? I think not.
Ice cream is the perfect sweet treat for any occasion, especially a hot day. With a variety of flavor and topping options, there’s a combination for any sweet tooth. To help you add an extra dose of color on your ice cream cones, Shari’s Berries designed a collection of printable ice cream cone wrappers - and luckily, they let me share them here!

Because why would you wrap your cones in napkins when you can give them fun flair?

Sea Life Memory Game - free printable

Once in a while I design simple printable games for my kids or their friends. These games are great, especially in the upcoming summer season, because you can take them on trips, to the pool or the beach. They are light and easy to pack, inexpensive, and if few pieces get lost - no problem, you can just print more or move on to the next game.
So, precisely thinking about summer, I created the sea life memory game.

Mother’s Day Memory Jar (with Personal Creations)

Mother’s Day is just around the corner - in Portugal it is celebrated in the first Sunday of May, which means next Sunday - and it’s the perfect time to make mom feel special.

Now, my mother turned 86 this year, so there aren't a lot of things I can buy her that are original any more. And if you’ve been around Keeping it Real for a while, you already know that I always favor homemade or personalized gifts.

While traditional flowers and a card are always appreciated, nothing is better than a gift made from the heart. That’s why Personal Creations has created memory jar ideas and printables that you can use to make a customized gift for your mother.

This is exactly the kind of gift I was looking for, and I’m so happy they’ve let me share those amazing printables here!

Happy Easter free printable

After the Welcome Spring sign, here's another cute printable, this time for Easter.

It's bright and happy, and after some consideration I decided to hang it in my daughter's room. Though now of course I have to get another frame and a second print because my son needs one for his bedroom as well.

If you want one too, just download the jpeg file here, print it, frame it and you're done! One simple and easy way to bring a bit of Easter spirit to your house.

Use this printable in any way you want, but if you re-post or share on social media, please leave a link back to this page!

Welcome Spring free printable

I can't wait for spring - because spring comes before summer and I love summer! So, in order to cheer up our house a bit, I designed this Welcome Sprint printable.

It's bright and happy and right on time too, because I'm totally ready for winter to end.

Valentine's Day Decor - free printable

If you've been visiting for a while, you already know that I rarely change the decor in the house to match seasons or holidays. Except for Christmas, the rest of the year usually passes unnoticed in what concerns home decor - because, realistically, I just don't have the time for it.

This year, however, I decided to add a bit of color for Valentine's day, and so I designed this flowery  heart printable.

It's bright and happy, and reminds me of spring too, which is a bonus - I'm totally ready for winter to end.
