Because while I love to cross-stitch, I usually avoid large projects that will just remain unfinished for a long, long time.

So all of these are pretty easy to make and come with instructions and patterns for everyone to be able to replicate them. One of the sites is not in English, but you can get it translated and in any case the images are self-explanatory.

It's usually something simple because I never have a lot of time to spare, but it's certainly made with lots of love. Yep, Halloween is almost here. Are you ready? Well, I am. Sort of. We don't really decorate for Halloween, as it is not a traditional Portuguese holiday, but the kids always have a Halloween party at school and they are getting more and more excited about it with each passing year.

This year I still plan to make a new bat costume for my son (let's see if I have time to share it on the blog before the actual day) but in the meantime I leave you with some additional inspiration!

Quilting is something I've always wanted to dedicate myself to and never really found time. Yet. While researching materials for this post, though, I realized that quilts do not have to be big and complicated to qualify.

 

In fact, there are some pretty awesome projects that would not take forever to complete and that seem simple enough for a beginner like me. Actually, one of them is not even a quilt, though it follows the same sewing techniques and seems like a great way to start.
